#SeeMe – YouthUP for Mental Health

project ID 2022-1-RO01-KA152-YOU-000070375

The project “#SeeMe – YouthUP for Mental Health” brought together a group of 30 young people aged 16 to 26 years old from Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Spain, Italy and Norway, in a learning journey built around an itinerant youth exchange organized for 10 days in Romania, at Bucharest and in Norway, at Vestfold of Telemark.

The project was financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program and received a budget of 46706 euro. The period of implementation was 01.07.2023 – 31.01.2023.

The proiect #SeeMe started as an initiative of four young people from Romania who in the pandemic period, faced the negative effects on their mental and emotional health and wellbeing. Their intention of meeting other young people who faced the same problems and sharing mutual experiences materialized in writing a project proposal under the Erasmus program – a itinerant youth exchange. The main goal was to put the topics of anxiety and depression on the table and to share methods, excercises and techniques for emotional self-regulation and for dealing with intense feelings of loneliness, sadnnes, anxiety etc.

Therefor, the 30 young people gathered together and created a program of activities that included workshops, individual and group reflection sessions, games, presentation, moments of sharing own traumatic or simply difficult experiences with mental health, activities of self exploration and understanding in relation to nature (one day was dedicated to hiking) and in relation with citadine life living.

Below you can see a radiography of this learning experience together with a photography collection and two materials resulted from their work – a Mental Health brochure and a short video.
